Welcome to the first edition of GO-LONDON, the Government Office
for London on-line Newsletter.
Every three months we will publish a new issue on our website,
highlighting some of the projects that GOL has been involved
with across London. This will demonstrate the wide range of
activities that we help happen across the Capital and show
what Government policies can achieve on the ground.

People in Newham are enjoying a mental workout thanks to
a mobile computer gym that is travelling around the West Ham
and Plaistow New Deal for Communities (NDC) area offering
free training in essential ICT skills.
Silwood Estate in Lewisham is home to one of South London's
best Cyber Centres and it is proving to be very popular with
local residents. With free learning for up to 25 people at
a time, Silwood's UK Online Centre is equipped with 18 computers,
a plasma screen, interactive board and mini studio facilities.
Residents and employers in Shoreditch are benefiting from
a pioneering job brokerage service that should reap long-term
benefits across the local community.
